Cultivating History: Grapes at Los Encinos State Historic Park – 05/07/2024 09:00 AM

We are finishing this season Los Encinos Cultivating History Series with Mission Grapes. – I have grape expectations for this program and you should too. Grapes are some of the oldest domesticated crops that started their cultivation journey around 6,000-8,000 years ago. The Mission grape (aka California grape aka Los Angeles grape) is one of the oldest grape varieties in California and was planted by Spanish missionaries back in the 18th century. –️ – -️Ensure you have your favorite drawing supplies ready because, at the end of the webinar, we’ll be sketching our own grape vines. ✏️
