Welcome to Benicia Capitol State Historic Park. This program will cover the story of California’s capitol on wheels. Focus will be placed on identifying California’s five capitol cities, why they were chosen and ultimately why they left. Additional focus will be placed on the idea of economy and commerce, why were cities in California actively trying to attract the capitol what could be gained.
