Eelgrass Habitat in the San Diego Bay: An Underwater Wonder (Grades 5-6)

In this program at Silver Strand State Beach, students will learn about how eelgrass habitat in the San Diego Bay provides a number of benefits to the bay ecosystem and is also a foundational habitat for species both in and out of water. We will talk about several species in the bay that rely on the eelgrass such as the Eastern Pacific Green Sea Turtle and the Brant Geese.
