Explore – California Citrus State Historic Park!

During this multisensory tour, participants will learn how California’s second gold rush (citrus) helped shape and develop California today, the various groups of people that played an important role in the industry through their labor and technological developments, and the role two small navel orange trees played in the birth of an industry in Riverside. Additionally, students will experience the broad diversity of citrus fruit through enjoying an on-site citrus tasting.

Field Trips typically take 2 hours to complete. Upon arrival you and your students will be greeted by our California Citrus State Historic Park interpreter and given an introduction to the park. If you have any immediate questions or concerns please contact citrusschooltours@gmail.com. Once your field trip is scheduled you will receive a document link in your confirmation email. Once this additional document has been returned, our PORTS presenter at California Citrus State Historic Park will contact you within 7 business days to confirm your activities!
