Indigenous Culture Sharing on the North Coast at Chah-pekw ‘O-ket’-oh Visitor Center

Chah-pekw ‘O-Ket’-Oh Visitor Center is a collaboration between California State Parks and the Yurok Tribe and is a place for Yurok people to revitalize and share our culture, worldviews, language, etc. This is the first California State Parks Visitor Center that is managed by a Tribe, and it is possible through a Joint Powers Authority agreement.

Come join us for 45-minute walk, to look through the exhibits and learn about Yurok culture. We will explore the cultural mindset, and the materials and stories that come from our ancestral territory, past present and future.
