Sutter’s Fort Through Time is a 60 minute program that discusses the complex history of Sutter’s Fort, including the impact the Fort had on the Indigenous population of the Sacramento Valley, from 1839 to its reconstruction in the 1890s. Students will learn about the significant events associated with the Fort such as overland migration to California by wagon, the Bear Flag Revolt, the Mexican-American War, the rescue of the Donner Party, and the discovery of gold leading to the Gold Rush.
