Seeing Nature Through Journaling In-Person Field Trip at Chino Hills State Park

This in-person field trip can be adapted for all grades K-12 and focuses on the art of nature journaling. Students will immerse themselves in the sensory experience in the beautiful hills, and delve into the observer’s mind as they document the world around them. This field trip is facilitated by a state park interpreter, and requires the participation of teachers and chaperons. Maximum 60 students per field trip.

Chino Hills State Park is excited to offer blended-access programs through PassPORTS, which offers Title I public schools with a field trip reimbursement grant to experience the park both virtually and in-person!

Fill out the PassPORTS 23-24 interest form to find out if you qualify to receive up to $1000 in reimbursements for your field trip costs! If approved, the K-12 Access Coordinator will reach out to schedule your virtual and in-person programs.
