La Purisima Mission State Historic Park In-Person Field Trip

Explore La Purisima State Historic Park!

Bring your lessons to life at California’s most completely restored mission located on the ancestral land of the Chumash people. La Purisima Mission State Historic Park is an ideal place to explore the stories and challenges of the people who lived here as well as the crafts and technologies of the mission era. Programs are designed to enrich learning and stimulate awareness of the history throughout La Purisima Mission.

We offer 3 different types of in-person field trips at La Purisima Mission State Historic Park, all of which can be booked through the park website. For all in-park programs, we ask that you have a ratio of no less than 1 teacher/chaperone per 7 students. There are two picnic areas where your students can have lunch on site. One is in front of our visitor center and the second is by the Tienda (gift shop) under the oak trees.
