Hearst Castle In-Person Field Trip

Explore Hearst Castle!

Come explore this hilltop castle designed by the first licensed female architect in California, Julia Morgan. School groups will enjoy views of the coastline as they take the castle bus up the hillside of Hearst San Simeon, where exotic animals that were brought in by William Randolph Hearst for his zoo in the early 20th century roam free. When they arrive at the castle, they will be split into smaller groups and follow a castle guide to explore the many rooms and treasures that capture the wonders of art, architecture, and history.
