Explore Donner Memorial State Park!

Bring your students to explore the history and nature of this scenic Sierra Nevada mountain park! Join our interpreters to walk in the footsteps of the Donner Party of 1846 and discover the ups and downs of the California emigrant experience. You will also learn about the Native Washoe culture, and the diverse wildlife and ecology of the high sierra region. In-person tours are led by our park interpreters and volunteer tour guide team.

Donner Memorial State park is excited to offer blended-access programs through PassPORTS, which offers Title I public schools with a field trip reimbursement grant to experience the park both virtually and in-person!

Fill out the PassPORTS 23-24 interest form to find out if you qualify to receive up to $1000 in reimbursements for your field trip costs! If approved, the K-12 Access Coordinator will reach out to schedule your virtual and in-person programs.
