Salmon in the Trees – 10/30/2024 11:00 AM

Did you know there are salmon in the trees? Join California State Parks interpreter Kenzi and Salmontha the salmon at Mendocino Headlands State Park to go on the migration of a lifetime! Discover how salmon make their way into the trees as we study nutrient transfer, decomposition, and of course… scat! In this program, we will also learn about watersheds, marine protected areas, and human impacts on essential salmon habitat. This program is specifically designed for 2nd through 6th grade students learning about the salmon life cycle.
