Redwood Resilience: Forged by Fire and Fog

Join a state parks interpreter from Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park for a virtual field trip to the redwoods! Nestled on California’s north coast, Prairie Creek protects 14,000 acres of old growth redwood forest and coastline. Together we will learn about the importance of cultural and prescribed fire here, as well as the redwoods adaptations which enable them to thrive in this unique coastal ecosystem. Best for grades K-8.
