Water: California’s Most Precious Resource
Come along as we explore how agriculture in California’s Central Valley demand for water led to the creation of one of the world's largest water infrastructure projects to quench the industries thirst. In this program we will discuss precipitation patterns throughout the state through the use of maps and tables. Students will put their multiplication skills to the test to calculate the amount of water required for individual crops. Join us as we follow the watershed from headwater to farm and/or ocean and discover that water is truly more precious than gold!
