The Yurok People Are Still Here

A virtual walk through Sue-meg Village with 4 stops: the Yurok Redwood Canoe, Living House, Dress Houses, and The Sweat House. As we visit each stop, students can explore the different uses of each Redwood structure and learn about traditional materials that created a home for Yurok for thousands of years to the present day. Engage in conversation about the cultural significance of the Sue-meg Village and of Sue-meg State Park to the Yurok People and neighboring tribes. For questions or more information please contact Miaya Rainer at Maiya.Rainer@parks.ca.gov.
