“The Snail and the Whale” Story Time!

Join California State Parks Interpreter Kat in reading the story book “The Snail and the Whale” by Julia Donaldson! Students will follow along in the sweet story of a snail riding on the tail of a humpback whale through our global ocean! One day, the snail must save the whale, but she worries she may be too small for the job. Can she save the whale?
Students will be asked to consider how we treat marine animals and how, even if we feel small like the snail in our book, we can make the ocean a safer place for whales!
This story is presented in front of a fully articulated gray whale skeleton that students will have the opportunity to virtually explore with Interpreter Kat after the story all at MacKerricher State Park!
