Saving Sea Stars in Mendocino Coast’s Marine Protected Area

Join us on a virtual field trip to the Mendocino Coast Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) to learn about tide pool habitats, the anatomy of a sea star, and the incredible adaptations Ochre Sea Stars use to survive in a harsh environment where land meets the sea! Students will explore topics including adaptations, habitats, and tide pool etiquette. Students will learn about MPAs and how they help protect these fascinating sea star species.
NOTE: This program is best suited for K through 3rd grades.
