Immigration Stories told from Angel Island State Park

Bring your group virtually to the Detention Barracks Museum at Angel Island State Park for a FREE guided tour! Learn about the undertold history of immigration on the west coast in the early 1900s. Most have heard about Ellis Island, but many haven’t heard about the Chinese Exclusion Act that cast a shadow over immigration policy from 1910-1940. See the historical poems and inscriptions left by the immigrants detained here. Our tour guide will be able to interact with your students and answer their questions live! This program is designed for 4th-12th grade audiences, but younger students are welcome.
