Gold Rush Communities in Columbia State Historic Park

Students will explore how miners lived and worked together at Columbia State Historic Park; this includes a live placer mining demonstration. Then we are off to visit the Chinese Store to explore merchant economics and how the merchants Mined the miners. This is all done while highlighting Columbia’s diverse population and how the people who immigrated to Columbia interacted with each other.
