Join us at Carpinteria State Beach to learn the importance of this adorable, threatened shorebird, why it is considered an indicator species, and what is being done to help prevent it from going extinct. After the program, participants can choose to design a “Share the Shore!” sign that will be entered into our contest. Winning signs will be announced on the Carpinteria State Beach Facebook page and displayed at our Park for the remainder of the nesting season.
