Geology of South Yuba River State Park – 04/26/2024 11:00 AM

Much of Earth’s geologic history is hidden underground, but the erosive power of the South Yuba River has exposed a wide variety of features for us to discover! Students will tour the canyon at South Yuba River State Park via the Buttermilk Bend Trail, studying the unique geologic features they encounter along the way. They will learn about the geology of the area and the role the South Yuba River plays.
