Topic: "Champions of Change: California's Coast Redwoods
Description: "Champions of Change: California's Coast Redwoods.
Earth's tallest trees - Coast Redwoods - are iconic symbols of nature's resilience. These majestic trees are also climate stabilizers and superheroes for the planet! They sequester vast amounts of carbon, helping mitigate climate change. However, rising temperatures, altered rainfall, and increased wildfires threaten their survival. This program explores the impact of climate change on redwood ecosystems and highlights the critical role they play in stabilizing the climate, while also examining strategies to protect these vital trees for a sustainable future. Join Interpreters from Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park and Samuel P Taylor Redwood State Park on their journey to uncover how the roots of this ancient Coast Redwood community reach out to each and every one of us."
